Questions and Negation

A1–B1Sentence building 5 min

A question needs only a rising voice, чи or a question word at the start; a negative puts не before the verb. A question keeps the word order of a statement, and не goes before the verb: Ти розмовля́єш украї́нською? Ні, я не розмовля́ю.
