OverviewB1
- A prefix adds a direction to a verb of motion: іти́ is just walking, прийти́ is arriving. Я йду додо́му ≠ Я прийшо́в додо́му — I'm walking home ≠ I've got home
- іти́ becomes -йти after a prefix: при- → прийти́. прийти́ / зайти́ / піти́
- After a prefix ending in a consonant, an apostrophe comes before ї: від’ї́хати, об’ї́хати. Авто́бус об’ї́хав пло́щу. — The bus went round the square.
